Seller ID: 2731R Glasgow: Blackie & Son [1892]. First edition, sold by subscription (pp. ix, 36, 100 plates with text en face). Folio (41 cm) in half leather over blue cloth, gilt titles; features “one hundred plates in colours and gold [highly finished and exhibiting a variety of decorative Arts & Crafts designs] with descriptive notices, and an introductory essay on artistic and practical decoration”. The book’s condition is uneven— deteriorated cloth covers with worm damage, last few plates with small stain in one corner ( 1 x 4 cm), but the value of this limited edition lies in the fine plates of Arts & Crafts decorative motifs. You won’t buy this book because of its cover. Price: $800.00
