An account of the first Methodist settlements in Canada along the north shore of the St. Lawrence at Maitland, Ontario, by loyalists who fled the retribution of the revolutionary Americans. Heck and her fellow Methodists were descended from German-speaking protestants living in the Palatinate who had sought refuge in Ireland from the persecutions of Louis XIV of France. Some wear to foot of spine, pious dialogue. A Very Good copy.
