Large quarto (35 cm) with 52 fine full-page colour plates illustrative of restrained classical garden designs accompanied by the author's descriptions. Pictured among others are the gardens at the Villa Borghese, Villa Corsini, Villa Conti, Villa Imperiali. In green publisher's cloth, gilt titles and decorations to front cover and spine, t.e.g. Wear at top and bottom edge of spine of an otherwise very good copy. Price: $250.00
