A New and Easy Guide to the Use of the Globes, and the Rudiments of Geography.
Seller ID: 1408
London: T. Mitchell, 1819. New edition (pp. viii, 234), complete with eight folding maps as called for and two additional maps bound in at the end. Small octavo (18cm), full contemporary calf with two small damaged areas at bottom of spine. Several maps misfolded but not so clumsily they cannot be left as is, short tear in half-title page. An early instructional geography proceeds as a series of questions and answers, the former of the leading sort ('Is Prussia a considerable European power?'). Good maps, a quaint text, and a scarce book. A very good copy.
