[London, c. 1840]. Sheet (21cm x 27cm), image (20cm x 25cm). Quite a small, finely engraved map in b&w depicting Upper and Lower Canada as they arranged themselves along the north shore of the lakes (Toronto is called 'Toronto or York') and the St. Lawrence with the neighbouring northeastern states sketched in. Lightly soiled edges, slim lower margin (Findlay's name etc. just readable edge of lower margin). Drawn and engraved by Findlay senior, father of the more well known son. Quite a nice, bright map.
