First edition (viii, 220) with more than a dozen pages of advertising of the time printed on various coloured papers (mineral lands, Parry Sound settlement, Crown land agents, etc.); history of the county from 1818 and town from 1825, township histories, survey of the first settlement, lists of officials, militia members, etc. Expertly bound in modern blue cloth and boards by John Burbidge, retaining original soft, light blue wrapper, gilt titles to spine. A fine copy of the first history, now in modern dress.
