First edition (xii, unpaginated), large quarto in original three-quarter leather over marbled paper, t.e.g. Skilfully rebacked, retains original gilt titles and decoration; ffep and title page reinforced against chipping as the prelimins are becoming somewhat brittle, a few pages damp-stained at 'I'. Otherwise exceptionally clean and bright text throughout. For a description of the topography of La Chevrotiere or Chavigney seigniory or the course of the Metgermette river in the Beauce, for example, this gazetteer by the Surveyor-General of Lower Canada was the source to consult. A very good copy of an important early account of places and names of places in Quebec. Price: $200.00
