Seller ID: 654 Holmiae [Stockholm], 1848- 1857. First edition, in three volumes (viii, 297 pp., blank; 299- 626 pp., 2 tabs.; 395 pp., tab.). Unopened, as issued in original tan (vol.1) and green (vols. 2 and 3) wraps, with three pages of b&w lithographs appended as tables for reference. Boheman's account is based on the collection of J.A. Wahlberg, a busy collector of specimens of Africa's insects and of its elephants, the last of which collected him. A comprehensive, early work on African entomology and difficult to find, especially in this condition. Text in Latin. Price: $500.00
