New York: Stokes, 1903. Second edition. Colour frontispiece by C. D. Williams. In tan cloth with pictoral decoration. A posthumous book completed by Robert Barr from the incomplete manuscript left to Cora Crane, this potboiler was published with the intent of paying some of the Cranes' bills (It didn't). Top and bottom of spine rubbed, as are the four corners; a few small spots at top corner of front cover; spine faded (gilt authors' names especially).
