The Black Riders
Seller ID: 10
Boston: Copeland and Day, 1895. First edition, one of 500 copies (pp. 75), printed by John Wilson and Son, Cambridge. Unopened. Some chipping at top and wear along edge of spine (See enlarged images of binding). The unopened pages (our copy is, of course, unread) have some age spots, or foxing, as shown in title page and text images-- apparently a common condition for the paper. Owner’s plate of one William Dudley Claussen on front pastedown. Crane's second published work and his first volume of poetry (His second volume of poetry, War Is Kind, appeared four years later). Very good.
