London: University of Western Ontario, 1955. First edition (pp. xi, 66), small folio (24 cm) in stiff gray wraps; frontis drawing of the Hatch residence Oxford Co., Ontario, from about 1834. A close friend of Robert Browning, Domett (1811- 1887) emigrated to New Zealand, eventually becoming Prime Minister in 1862. He was the author of the well-received Ranolf and Amohia, an epic poem set in New Zealand. A corner of the front cover turned up; otherwise a clean, tight copy.
