Dragland, Stan (Ed.) Wilson MacDonald's Western Tour 1923-24
[Toronto]: Coach House, n.d. First edition. Stiff wraps. In the fall of 1923 Wilson MacDonald commenced a literary tour of the West under the auspices of his publisher, Ryerson Press, and editor Lorne Pierce. This book describes the peregrinations (as he may have said) of the “poetic” author in the words of local correspondents, who were asked to do the advance work for MacDonald’s tour, newspaper reviews, and an exchange of letters between MacDonald, Pierce, and some others who encountered the author. MacDonald is, if not famous, at least well known for having signed almost every book he sold, rendering an unsigned copy, if not valuable, at least a curiosity. A fine copy. Price:
