Rand, Austin L. and Dioscoro S. Rabor. Birds of the Philippine Islands: Siquijor, Mount Malindang, Bohol, and Samar.
Chicago: Chicago Natural History Museum, 1960. Fieldiana: Zoology (Volume 35, Number 7, pp. 225- 441). Small folio (23.5 cm) in stiff gray card, titles in black on front cover and spine (sun-faded). Morphology, habits, and distribution of avifauna in a part of the world which, in 1960 and perhaps still today, was the residence of undiscovered birds species. A report of field studies which were not without their perils (for example, the destruction by fire of much of the capital town of Catbalogan, Samar, in which the field team nearly lost all its collections, notes, and gear). A very good copy-- clean and sound. Price:
