The first edition of the notable work of this botanist whose work, along with that of Linnaeus, formed the basis for the classification system of modern botany. His notion of ‘family’, for example, still informs modern botanical descriptions. Hinges cracked, covers and tips worn, mild damp-staining to some early pages. Generally quite an acceptable copy of an important botanical study.
